Revamped Nashik’s Devlali railway station now features modern amenities; PM inaugurates

Mashik (Devilal): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday virtually inaugurated 103 railway stations developed under the “Amrit Bharat Station Scheme,” including the Devlali Railway Station in Nashik, which was redeveloped at a cost of ₹10.40 crore.
The modernization of Deolali station was undertaken in view of the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh, 2027).
The Devlali station now features modern amenities like improved lighting, ample parking, beautiful gardens, a rail coach museum, separate waiting rooms for men and women, rest room facilities, and facilities for the disabled. There is also a special reservation counter for army personnel.
Panchvati Railway Museum has been established at Deolali, displaying items related to the division’s historical heritage.

Located just 5 kilometers from Nashik station, Devlali holds great strategic and cultural importance due to its proximity to the Devlali Army Camp, Artillery School, and the birthplace of Veer Savarkar, Bhagur.
The redevelopment also emphasizes beautification, with a newly designed entrance and expanded surroundings for smooth traffic flow. Both platforms have been completely renovated to offer shelter from the rain and sun, along with added lighting for safety at night.
Air-conditioned offices have also been built for railway staff to improve efficiency, and new water stands have been installed for passengers.

During the ceremony, the Prime Minister highlighted that railway stations are not just travel hubs but represent a city’s identity.
He noted that the scheme aims to enhance the railway experience while benefiting local employment and the economy. Over 1300 railway stations across India are being modernized under this initiative, integrating modern technology with regional culture and architecture.
