The SARAS Aajeevika Mela 2025 is taking place at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi and has been a huge celebration of rural India’s talent and culture.
On Saturday, 13th September 2025, at 6:30 PM, there will be a highly anticipated live performance by the famous Rajasthani folk singer Mame Khan, and entry to this event is free. Mame Khan is known for his beautiful voice and traditional music, and his performance is expected to attract a large crowd, showcasing the spirit and storytelling of Rajasthan.
On 12th September 2025, the Mela featured a successful session at the Knowledge and Learning Pavilion on Export Marketing, aimed at helping women entrepreneurs in Self-Help Groups (SHGs) reach global markets. This session is part of the effort to turn more women into ‘Lakhpati Didis’ under the DAY-NRLM initiative.
SARAS Aajeevika Mela 2025 supports rural women artisans and entrepreneurs from various Indian states, showcasing a wide range of products like handlooms, handicrafts, jewelry, food items, and home décor. The Mela provides visitors with a unique shopping experience while directly aiding rural livelihoods.
Alongside shopping, guests can also participate in workshops and demonstrations designed to enhance skills for SHGs.
The Ministry of Rural Development encourages the public from Delhi and nearby areas to attend, enjoy Mame Khan’s performance, support rural entrepreneurs, and help strengthen India’s rural economy.
