Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Launches Mahakumbh Songs Produced by AIR & Doordarshan
Delhi, 8th January 2025: Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Railways, and Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, launched two significant songs produced by All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan, paying tribute to the Mahakumbh 2025. These songs are set to capture the essence and reverence associated with the historic religious gathering.
Mahakumbh Hai: A Melodic Tribute to Tradition and Devotion
The theme song “Mahakumbh Hai” was launched by the Union Minister in a ceremony held in Delhi. Sung by the celebrated Padma Shri Kailash Kher, the song encapsulates the spirit of devotion, celebration, and cultural vibrancy associated with the Mahakumbh Mela. The profound lyrics, written by renowned poet Aalok Shrivastav, and soul-stirring music composed and arranged by Kshitij Tarey, bring together traditional melodies with modern arrangements, showcasing the unity of faith, tradition, and festivity. The song is now available for viewing on Doordarshan and digital platforms.
Akashvani’s Special Tribute to Prayagraj Mahakumbh
Additionally, Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurated a special song by Akashvani, dedicated to the Prayagraj Mahakumbh. This composition reflects the spiritual, cultural, and religious significance of the Mahakumbh through powerful music and lyrics. Performed by Ratan Prasanna, with music by Santosh Nahar and Ratan Prasanna, the song beautifully portrays the spiritual journey of millions of devotees visiting the Triveni Sangam. The lyrics, penned by Abhinay Shrivastava, celebrate the sacred act of taking a dip at the Sangam, symbolizing spiritual purification and fulfillment.
